Hi and thank you for your question!  Yes you can absolutely take antibiotics before a breast augmentation.  You and your doctors (including your surgeon) have to make certain that your infection is cleared before proceeding with breast augmentation as an active infection during surgery may increase the risk of an implant infection.  The amount of time to wait before proceeding with breast augmentation varies by surgeon so I would definitely keep your surgeon in the loop with what is going on and how you are doing.  Best of luck!

In fact, it would be much riskier to have your surgery with an active infection present in your mouth. Be sure to take your antibiotics as directed and let your plastic surgeon know you were prescribed the medication prior to surgery.
