Home Doctor came and gave me antibiotics for infected mouth. It’s call amoxicillin. Is this ok to take leading up to a BA ?

The antibiotics are not cause for concern, but the infection is.  This needs to be discussed with your surgeon.  It's important that you are healthy and free from infection when undergoing your breast augmentation.  Your surgeon will advise you further on how to proceed.

Yes, you need to take the full course of antibiotics before surgery. Make sure you tell your plastic surgeon you have an active infection that is being treated with antibiotics. Hi and thank you for your question!  Yes you can absolutely take antibiotics before a breast augmentation.  You and your doctors (including your surgeon) have to make certain that your infection is cleared before proceeding with breast augmentation as an active infection during surgery may increase the risk of an implant infection.  The amount of time to wait before proceeding with breast augmentation varies by surgeon so I would definitely keep your surgeon in the loop with what is going on and how you are doing.  Best of luck!

I appreciate your question and understand your concerns. Fortunately, amoxicillin is completely safe to take prior to a procedure like breast augmentation. In fact, it would be much riskier to have your surgery with an active infection present in your mouth. Be sure to take your antibiotics as directed and let your plastic surgeon know you were prescribed the medication prior to surgery. Your surgeon will likely want to know that your infection is no longer active before your breast augmentation takes place. Good luck on a safe and successful surgery!
