In general about 75% to 85% of the fat survives. Every surgeon is different and has their own techniques. In general, I prefer to centrifuge the fat to remove any fluid and purify the fat cells. The highly concentrated fat is then immediately injected. By concentrating the fat this way, more fat cells are able to be transferred into a given space which I feel enhances the result. Good Luck.
I see about a 70% fat survival rate in my BBL patients. This depends on a variety of factors including the technique of the surgeon. It is important to chose a surgeon who does a minimum of 5 BBLs per week. I personally think that a fat survival rate less than 70% is not good.
In general, about 50% of the fat should live. I think that some of my patients have up to 70 or 75% survive based upon evaluation of before and after photos for several hundred patients. Hopefully, you are getting 1400 cc per buttock. 700 cc per buttock is a small amount but is appropriate for patients not expecting a significant change. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, only about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, so it is normal to see a minor reduction in your buttocks. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
I think my graft survival rate is around 70-80%. I take meticulous care to make sure pure fat is being re injected and not a fat slurry that is used in a lot of offices. The grafts also need to be harvested in a non traumatic fashion and processed similarly to maximize their survival. finally aesthetic sense and ability needs to be maximized to really have the body sculpted with all of the liposuction that is being performed
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Based on your pictures, you are a great candidate for liposuction with BBL, and I think you'll get very good results. Liposuction allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You can improve your abdomen, ...
