Will Emsculpt make my loose skin from childbirth worse?

Unfortunately Emsculpt only increases muscle bulk and tone with some concomitant fat layer reduction and has little to no effect on loosened skin. A consult with a plastic surgeon will determine whether or not you actually need abdominplasty to address this issue.

EMSculpt is a non-invasive muscle building treatment that can also decrease fat in the treated area. It has no effect on loose skin. If loose skin is your main issue then there are other non-surgical treatments for that. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.

It's not uncommon to have diastasis recti (separation of tissue between abdominal muscles) after giving birth. If the separation is minor, then building muscle mass with Emsculpt will improve the appearance. Keep in mind that Emsculpt is designed to build muscle mass and not tighten excess skin laxity. To tone lax abdominal skin, ThermiTight may be a good option. I recommend a consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can determine which procedures are best for you.

Emsculpt will do two things for you: it will strengthen and tone the abdominal muscle and also close the gap or the rectus abdominis diastasis that can happen with pregnancy. It will make your abdomen appear less bulgy and even though it does not address the skin, it will not make it appear any looser.
