Age alone, is not the only criteria to determine if you are a candidate for Ultherapy. I have seen some patients in this age group whose skin elasticity has been preserved better than some in their late 40's whose skin was weathered by sun exposure. The skin's elasticity and photodamage are more important than the age of the patient as important parts of the equation for Ultherapy to work. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Ulthera helps to tighten the skin by stimulating the production of new collagen. At age 80 there is usually a significant loss of both elastin and collagen. If you have fine wrinkled skin you will probably not see much difference after an Ulthera procedure.
Good candidates for Ultherapy have mild to moderate skin laxity. This procedure targets the deeper layers of the skin to promote the new production of collagen, which helps to correct skin laxity. Ultherapy will not give the same results as a surgical face lift. A consult with a board certified plastic surgeon will let you know if you are a good candidate for this procedure.

Great question! This is a totally normal line count and depth. We usually treat each area with 2 depths. The 1.5mm can cause welts that will typically go away in a few days. Best of luck!
Both radiofrequency treatments and Ultherapy® are great for tightening skin, which includes laugh lines, the "accordion" or "pleating" of the cheek and eyelids, even in patients with moderate-to-severe laxity. We often recommend patients to alternate treatments every few months.
Thank you for this question. Ultherapy is performed in one session and it depends what your skin shows when the ultrasound scan is carried out. Everyone’s skin is unique and your bespoke treatment plan will be decided by your treating practitioner depending on the ultrasound scan results. T...
Numbness in the scalp after Ultherapy treatment to the brow region is due to irritation of the supraorbital nerve which is purely a sensory nerve and has no motor function. Unlike surgery, there is no cutting and thus the risk of any permanent injury is almost nil. Ultherapy works by generating...
You can repeat Ultherapy, it is advised to wait for up to 6 months as you can continue to get more lift and tightening during that time. Your practitioner will advise if a second treatment is required. I often combine Ultherapy with Botulinum toxin and fillers in order to achieve best results. I...
