This patient was in her late 40s and wanted to improve the appearance of her abdomen.  She had had previous abdominal surgery through a vertical abdominal incision and was unhappy with the appearance of the abdomen and the flanks.  Because of her contour as well as the previous vertical abdominal incision, we chose to proceed with a fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty with liposuction of the flanks, which means that in addition to the low horizontal scar she also had the vertical scar.  For her, it improved the appearance of the vertical scar that she previously had and also helped with her overall shape and contour. After surpassing her goal weight, they proceeded with surgery.  A left breast lift and right breast reduction worked to balance her breast size and shape. This 29 yo young ladycame to see me in my plastic surgery office for tummy tuck and breast augmentation. She had seen me one year prior and lost 40 pounds since her initial visit.
