We commonly see patients who have had silicone implants placed to augment the bridge and tip of the nose that are either distorting the delicate anatomy of the nasal tip or extruding from the nose (either inside the nose or through the skin). These implants are often placed using only local anaesthesia and are commonly done on the spur of the moment when on holidays or visiting friends/family overseas.
