Overall Postive Experience and Result, but do not expect perfection.

Sought out a revision rhinoplasty for YEARS, and finally settled on Dr. Hilinski. Couldn't be happier with my decision. He improved by nose, both aesthetically and functionally, and it looks totally natural.

I made the mistake in 2010 (I was only 18 years old) of undergoing a primary rhinoplasty with a plastic surgeon, who happened to be a family contact. Although I received advice from someone who I trusted, the result was not great, and left my nose crooked and deviated.

Almost 10 years later, and multiple visits to different surgeons, I concluded that Dr. Hilinski was the man for the job. I'm ~2 weeks out of surgery, and couldn't be happier. There is still a bit of swelling, obviously, but the positive results are evident.

If you are interested in pursuing a primary or revision rhinoplasty, look no further, and go to Dr. Hilinski.

Thank you! Yes, I will. There is still a bit of swelling in the bridge (which will likely take many more weeks to fully come down), but I will post some pictures in a bit.

Before Pictures

Posting various before and after pictures. There is still a bit of swelling in the bridge and tip, but you can see how much more natural the tip looks, that the bridge looks stronger/more 'masculine,' and, most importantly, I can breathe much better out of my left nostril. There is still some fullness on the left side of my nose (right side of the picture), which has been there since my primary rhinoplasty. Nothing is perfect - I cannot stress this enough; expecting perfection is insanity - but I'm so much happier with the improvements.

I can't figure out how to change the title, but the first 6 pictures are BEFORE, and the last 6 are AFTER

Before and After Pictures

NGigot
Below are before/after pictures. You can see that my tip is improved and looks much more natural (it was pointed and asymmetrical before), my bridge is stronger/more "masculine," and most importantly, I can breathe much better out of my left nostril. There's still some swelling, particularly in the tip and on the bridge, but that's expected. There's still some fullness on the left side of my nose, which will always remain to a certain extent, as this stems from my primary rhinoplasty, but I'm really, really happy with the improvements. Perfection isn't realistic, so please DO NOT expect perfection, as you will only drive yourself mad.

Your nose looks great!

Thank you for sharing!! It looks so much better now. Did you get a rib revision rhino? Or did he use ear or septal?
May 24, 2021
Thank you, and no problem! He was able to use cartilage from my own nose, since there was enough remaining.

cartilage from my own nose/septum*

I see. You are blessed to have enough cartilage :) would love to see more updates as you heal. But if not, I totally understand! I wish you happy healing and may your rhinoplasty journey ends here. Your nose fits you well and I can tell it'll look better by 1 year.

I will certainly do my best to provide more updates! I was concerned about the result not looking natural, and it took me awhile to find the right fit for me, but very glad I finally worked up the courage to move forward with the procedure, and that I went with Dr. Hilinkski -- hoping this is the end of my journey as well, as I really don't want to undergo any further surgeries. I will try to post more pics as I continue to heal! Best wishes on your own journey as well, and thank you for the kind words.

I can't tell what's the before and after. At least your tip and sidewalls weren't messed up overrated badly. You have such a beautiful bone structure

The first 6 pictures are the 'before,' and the final 6 pictures are the 'after.'

Hi thank u for sharing! Your results look so good. I’m considering building up my bridge too cause my first surgeon botched my nose! Quick question, did the doctor use rib cartilage to rebuild your dorsum? And if so did he use cut up cartilage and wrap it in fascia or was it just a solid graft? I want to add thickness and width to my nose, and it looks like he can deliver
