This 51 year old woman underwent tummy tuck. At 4 months post-op, her incision continues to fade.  Outcomes from tummy tuck can be limited by a short torso and the presence of what-is-called visceral fat, which is behind the abdominal muscles inside the abdomen. A tummy tuck can be beneficial for removal of stretch marks, excess skin, some fat underneath the skin and for muscle repair of rectus diastasis. The presence of visceral fat presses against the muscle repair and prevents a completely flat abdomen.
