This 20 year-old woman came to Dr. Tholen for breast augmentation with submuscular 375cc smooth, round, cohesive, moderate profile silicone gel implants, placed via a light general (TIVA) anesthetic outpatient procedure in our nationally-accredited (AAAASF) on-site surgical facility. Use of silicone gel implants in patients under the age of 22 are ethical and legal, but are considered "off-label" use, similar to Botox use for anywhere other than FDA-approved frown lines or crow's feet. She returned to everyday (non-strenuous) activities in 24 hours, light exercise in 2 weeks, and vigorous work-outs in 4 weeks. (Note the large mole in her cleavage area was removed at the time of her surgery; the small mole on the right breast remains.) After photo 6 weeks post-op.
