This lovely 49 year old woman presents with concerns regarding her excessively large and droopy breasts. The results from her initial surgery are obviously disappointing. She had implants placed in breasts that were ptotic (droopy) despite this fact the cosmetic surgeon did not perform a mastopexy (lift) which was clearly necessary. This patient was unhappy and requested correction. This involved removing the implants, which were ruptured, removing the scar tissue capsule around the implants and closing the space so that proper healing could take place. A mastopexy (breast lift) was then performed and she is now seen about 14 months after surgery; the shape is natural and the scars have already faded significantly. She desired only her natural breasts and wanted the implants removed.
