Tummy Tuck procedure by Mary Lee Peters, MD: At 51, This patient feels fortunate to have a satisfying career and a great family. She has two grown daughters and a new grandchild. Though her grandson is the best gift ever, she cannot view herself as grandmotherly. She exercises at her gym four to five days a week. If her weight creeps up a few pounds, she is back on Jenny Craig. She likes to dress well and felt that dressing appropriately hides figure flaws. However, her body did not reflect all the benefits of her healthy choices and she was interested in improvement. Her breasts and abdomen were not the same since her pregnancies decades ago. A “Mommy Makeover” involved a breast lift, liposuction of her hips and a tummy tuck. She is shown at three and a half weeks following surgery and feels that her results exceeded her expectations. She claimed that plastic surgery was way better than a new car. For her grandmotherly life crisis, she is “driving her new body instead of a BMW.”
