As we age, our skin loses its fight with gravity and drooping can impact us in different areas, so its not a one-size-fits-all packaging. For this patient, her aging was focused down the center of her face rather than down the jowls, which tends to be most common in women. 45-54 year old woman treated with Neck Lift and Lower Facelift under Local Anesthesia - This female patient presented with the main concern of what she described as turkey neck (similar to what her mother had in her 50's). She did not care for the significant excess skin, fat, and overall looseness under her chin. She had tried numerous creams and non-surgical treatments, such as radiofrequency, with no significant results.During initial consultation it was determined that she had significant laxity of her neck, but also of her lower face and jawline tissue. We decided to perform a lower facelift and necklift under local anesthesia in our Center with the assistance of oral sedation with valium (No general or IV anesthesia necessary). Her procedure time was approximately one hour and 50 minutes.Her results demonstrate major improvement in her neckline, as well as a sharpened and more visible jawline. All sutures were removed by day 12, and was thus able to return to both work and her full physical activities.
