An expert PS I saw at 6 mos post op said at that point there wasn't enough skin to tuck my poorly placed ear scars, which are too far in front of and below each ear, into my ear contours. Will this still be a problem at 1 yr? Also, will the lumpy hypertrophic scars in back of my ears be easily fixed in a 2nd procedure? Will a new neck lift cause yet more problematic scars? Since the 1st procedure was a fail, I need to do over again anyway and I want these ugly scars hidden as much as possible.
Hello! I had a face/neck lift in September of 2020. All seemed fine at first until at about 6 months when strange things started happening beneath my chin. You can see the chin scar from the surgery and also, more towards my neck, another scar from a cyst removal, but in between there is all this lumpiness and cording (?). What do you think caused this and what can I do? It's really quite ugly. I have included a before picture if that helps. Thanks!
I am 52 years old had a neck lift and liposuction under my chin six weeks ago. Feel better thankfully but still have lumpiness/bumpy and swollen under chin and jawline area- I still have the tight and tingle feelings at times also, is this normal and just takes a few months to subside and get back to normal? My surgeon is Great maybe Im just inpatient.
Liposuction on my neck, incisions around my ears, but not chin. Why is my neck lumpy? Also, the skin on my neck is still lose and sagging. Is this my final result? I'm not happy with my results....suggestions please? Thank you!!
One side is soft and lumpy with drooping salivary gland and other is hard and lumpy with tight platysmal cords. Dr says give it another 3 months and then we will discuss options. Wondering if this is best or something more to do to get a good result?
At nearly 4 months post-neck and face lift I still have lumpy, bumpy areas alongside / adjacent to the submental incision. The area is also discolored (its kind of a brown color). There seems to be banding, too, from the side. Is this normal healing? Thank you for your time.
My surgeon went under my chin to remove some subcutaneous fat. The next day I had swelling under the chin with fluid so he removed the fluid and the next day he removed a tiny bit more. 3 days later he looked under my chin and said he was not expecting the results of what he saw and neither was I. Now I have a fairly large lumpy area under my chin which is very noticeable . I will see him again in the next 5 days. What can I expect from this?
Corset platysmaplasty was performed as part of full facelift (also incisions in front and behind ears). A year later could still feel hard, ropy, lumpy vertical cord in midline - as if it's the ridged stitching together of the platysma. Why would this have happened (I can't find other complaints about this issue online)? Looks worse than before any surgery, as it was only loose skin before with no visible bands. Why would it be hard and not soften over time? How would it be corrected? Thank you.
