It is not uncommon to be experiencing some #lumps four months post-op. Recovery from a neck and facelifts do vary per person. This process can take from 2-6 months for face, neck and cheeks. Muscle weakness may also be present around the mouth especially if liposuction is used. Some degree of firmness or lumpiness under the skin is normal after surgery and will resolve with time. Local #massage of the areas may accelerate the resolution of this problem, which normally takes 2-4 months to disappear completely. It is during this time that the rejuvenating effects of the facelift will become apparent and the real result will be seen. Hi, it is hard to evaluate your swelling and discoloration with the photos. It is normal to have some induration and swelling in the neck area especially if your surgeon used liposuction as part of the necklift. It can take up to 6-8 months for the swelling and hardness to go away after liposuction. Circular massage in the area can help soften the tissue and also wear a neck strap at night. You should contact and follow up with your surgeon to ask his/ her advice.
