I'm scared. My nose looks HUGE, undefined and pig like after my lip lift 12 days ago. Also I'm worried too much skin was taken. I'm comparing photos and really feel that I need professional answers. I checked with my surgeon but all she tells me is give it time, it's not healed yet. Are my sills gone? Can my nose regain some of it's definition? Can it be surgically restored if not? Help! I was never informed about what a lip lift can do to the shape of a nose!
I had a lip lift with Philip Solomon in Toronto. I'm now out of town, so I can't visit the same doctor. Besides the reddish scars, will the cut and hole be healed? If not, is there a solution? Can they be filled with silicone?
I had a bullhorn lip lift on the 9th of december, everything was fine until I ate and felt a huge pain in the scar and I have now an empty tiny hole where i can see a black stitching. I don't know if i should be worried or not. I had absorbable stitching with glue and it looks likes the glue has broken in this tiny hole.
My lip lift incitions don't appear to be closing up. It looks like I have a an open ditch running down the sides of my nostrils. Is this normal? I'm absolutely miserable about it. I've had to return to work and I'm so embarrassed. Is there anything I can do to make it heal and close up? I have an important meeting in a week and Im so embarrassed! In one pic I have aquaphor and on the other it's dry. I've been alternating b/w letting it dry and keeping it moist.
I am 17 days post-op following a bullhorn lip lift and my nose feels shrink-wrapped as scar tissue forms. My whole face feels tight and I can't smile very wide or make normal facial expressions without feeling the tension. I've heard that you should massage scars/keep them flexible and I've also heard that scars heal better if you don't move too much during the healing process. I'm afraid that the scar tissue will distort the base of the nose if left unchecked?
I had a bullhorn lip lift two weeks ago, the sides of my nose seem to have slight separation, when I had my stitches out (have deeper dissolvable ones & some to close) the nurse noticed but did not seem concerned, will this close up/ fill out or will I be left with an indented scar along the sides? Really concerned right now.My PS mentioned any one week post op that he sides of my nose curve in quite a bit which made it difficult to suture, will this area fill out? Need another opinion?
I am currently 15 days post op, I feel like most of the swelling is gone and Im starting to get worried. I cant pronounce words or eat properly. I look like I have cleft palate. The center of the lip seems excessively raised. Will my philtrum lengthen some more? I know swelling lasts for up to 6 months etc... but how much/drastic difference is to be expected between now and 6 months ? I just want to be reassured if swelling is really a huge factor. Please see the before pic and lmk.
Hello, I know swelling lasts for up to 6 months and that final results aren't to be expected till then, however, I would like to know if my lip, specially the middle part will likely drop down at least 2 or 3 mm. I feel like it is way too lifted in the middle and I look like a bunny. My doctor says it will still go down but It does feel very tight and I have a hard time smiling and pronouncing certain words . Is it just swelling and will look more normal? Thanks
I had a skin-only LL performed 2 weeks ago, external sutures moved at 5 days post-op. The incision appears to be healing except for a few areas specifically around my nostrils where the incision edges aren't coming together. I asked my PS, she said they would eventually come together but I'm getting nervous. I've attached a photo of one of the incisions. There's no bleeding, fluid, or pain, just mild tingling and itching. Could you please tell me if this is normal or do I require a 2nd consult?
