Lip Lift Incision Separation? Will this close up/ fill out or will I be left with an indented scar along the sides? (photo)

Question

I had a bullhorn lip lift two weeks ago, the sides of my nose seem to have slight separation, when I had my stitches out (have deeper dissolvable ones & some to close) the nurse noticed but did not seem concerned, will this close up/ fill out or will I be left with an indented scar along the sides? Really concerned right now.My PS mentioned any one week post op that he sides of my nose curve in quite a bit which made it difficult to suture, will this area fill out? Need another opinion?

Thank you for your question! Mostly thank you for the detailed picture.  That area is notorious for slight separation, secondary to it being pulled up and sideways during motion of the lips and mouth.  The good news is that with adequate wound care, this area will heal up perfectly - concave areas heal very well, and when doing reconstructive procedures for skin cancer, for example, we use this to our advantage in healing and reconstruction.  Now its very early on in the healing process, so make sure you stay in touch with your plastic surgeon such that they can help guide you as to what treatment regimen and protocol will work best for your case.  Best of luck!
