After 8 months of Invisalign regular treatment, I started refinements 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have a growing sensitivity in one tooth, #3 (w/7 year old crown). My dentist says I'm probably clenching or grinding and it'll go away eventually. I just had a 6-month checkup with full x-rays, with no issues. No cold or hot sensitivity. It's OK to eat on, though some foods cause more sensitivity. This is the only tooth bothering me. Anything to stress over? I think I do clench, unfortunately.
3 months of issues after starting 2nd Invisalign retainer. I was treated for thrush w/ 2 rounds of Nystatin and 7 days of Fluconazole. The thicker white areas cleared up but my tongue was still has cracks, inflamed taste buds & still turns white. We adjusted the retainers, no luck. I have gone back to the 1st retainer, meh results. Is something else wrong and the retainers are only irritating it? Or did the retainer do so much damage before we began tweaking it that my tongue just hasn't healed?
Im using Invisalign for 4 months now, Im almost finishing. But today when I woke up I took my braces off and I saw in the back of the treatment a white fluid like pus, with a weird smell just in that area. I dont have pain at all I just had sensitive teeth since 2 months ago. Ive never had sensitive teeth before and I brush my teeth very well after eating. What I can do?
I wear my retainer every other day and I feel that this is the cause. I have a wire behind my front teeth. My teeth hurt all the time, when I eat, drink anything! What can be done? Do I have to wear my retainer? Im 68 years old
I just got braces on and they had to do irp in between my teeth on my top and bottom of my mouth as my mouth was crowded. My mouth is very sensitive today and even to touch my teeth hurts. Is it normal to experience this?
My dentist recommended invisalign for my bottom crowed teeth as the picture shown, he said that he will need to shave the bottom front teeth by 0.5 to create some space for the crowed teeth to fit in place properly as part of the treatment result process do you think that will cause sensitivity for the front teeth after being shaved by 0.5? Thank you very much.
I got my attachments put on yesterday and they didn't really explain the process or the materials involved. One tooth has two attachments, one at the top and one at the very bottom. Since it was placed on I've had extreme sensitivity to cold, hot and even touch. I'm concerned that when the dentist smoothed the bracket he nicked my tooth. Has anyone else experienced this sensitivity?
Hi! I am on my second tray of aligners when I first put them on 5 days ago I felt no pain or discomfort and I still don't. But on my first pair of trays my teeth were very sensitive. Am I doing something wrong with my procedure? Or are my aligners not working? Thank you for answering :)
My front right tooth has been VERY sensitive. If cold air blows on it when I'm walking or just drinking water. I've noticed in in the past 3 weeks and I am on tray 9 in my Invisalign (wear them for two weeks each tray) Could Invisalign be creating my teeth to die?! What is happening? I'm scared my tooth is going to die and I've just spent so much money trying to fix them
