I just had my attachments taken off my top teeth (need a refinement) and teeth that had the attachments are very sensitive.

I can't even think about drinking anything cold, the sensitivity is too much! Is this normal? Will it go away? Thank you.

Cold sensitivity after removal of Invisalign attachments can be an indication of exposed dentin or porous enamel. You should give it a week or so as your enamel can naturally remineralize with saliva, or use a densensitizing toothpaste. If the sensitivity persists, you should return to your dentist who can apply a desensitizing varnish or treatment. In our office, we use a dental laser with excellent results for calming sensitive tooth nerves down as well.
