Dr. Joel Schlessinger discusses the difference between Resylane and Restylane Silk.
Restylane is a collection of hyaluronic acid injectable fillers. It is primarily used to smooth wrinkles, lines and folds on your face. It can also be used to enhance lips and cheeks. Like similar hyaluronic acid fillers, the results are temporary.
The Restylane collection
There are several products in the Restylane collection. Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne are all primarily used to smooth facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane Lyft is also used for cheek enhancement. Restylane Silk is used for lip enhancement and lines in the mouth area.
Restylane potential results
The effects of Restylane injections usually last about six months. How long the effects last varies by area and how quickly your body metabolizes the filler.
Restylane potential side effects
As with other dermal fillers, side effects of Restylane treatments can include temporary bruising, swelling, and numbness. These usually subside within a few days.
