My new nose makes me look as happy as I feel

I had been waiting my whole life for a rhinoplasty and finally got one in 2019. Unfortunately even after what I felt was extensive research & finding a doctor in Newport beach, orange county that I loved the before and after pics from his other clients, I had been unhappy with results & felt stuck with a nose worse than my original nose. I was so skeptical to go through with another...

Obsessed with my nose! Healing process was relatively easy

My initial consultation with Dr. Portuese was in July 2023 via Zoom. The day before the consultation I was sent my simulated after photos as a starting point to discuss my wishes during my appointment. Throughout the consultation he was very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. I never felt pressured during the meeting to commit to anything and I appreciated the transparent pricing...

At 7 months I can't say I am extremely happy with the result

I had a primary rhinoplasty 7 months ago with Dr. Portuese. I found Dr. Portuese on Instagram and fell in love other the work that I saw on his profile. I called the office and scheduled a consultation. It was fast and the people who helped schedule the consultation were very nice. My consult came and I was very happy with how it went. Dr. Portuese noticed right away that I had a crooked nose...

Life-changing Already. Cannot Recommend Enough!

I followed Dr. Portuese's work for over a decade and finally committed to my rhinoplasty based on his natural looking results. I'm only one week post-op and I am already beyond impressed. Not one aspect of my care, from consultation to payment to procedure raised any sort of doubt that I was in the wrong hands. There was no pain postoperatively; it truly feels like you just have a terrible...

Already love the shape of my nose even with some residual swelling

Dr Portuese and his team were very friendly and responsive throughout the entire process. I had my surgery almost two weeks ago and I already love the shape of my nose even with some residual swelling. The operation went quickly and my recovery was pretty seamless. I had some light bruising and swelling but otherwise hardly any pain and I was back in public less than a week later. I had a...

Q: Would I benefit from having a rhinoplasty? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. PortueseApril 24, 2024

A: A full set of facial photographs from all angles are required to make a determination about being a candidate for a rhinoplasty procedure. In our practice, we perform closed rhinoplasty with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions, and no painful packing either. An in person examination is going to be required to make a determination about how best to proceed regarding your congestion. Best to try multiple different medical management options prior to any functional nasal surgery. A CAT scan of your sinuses is going to be required to determine issues regarding chronic sinusitis.

Q: Should I consider a genioplasty/chin augmentation? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. PortueseApril 24, 2024

A: A genioplasty is performed by an oral surgeon under general anesthesia in a hospital setting with an overnight stay in the hospital and is much more invasive. As long as your teeth fit together properly, you can undergo a simple chin implant placement under local anesthesia As an outpatient procedure, which is much less invasive.

Q: 25 year old chin implant that I hate, what are options?
Answered by Dr. PortueseApril 24, 2024

A: Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial photograph from all angles in a chin neutral position. It would also be helpful to see what your photographs of you looked like prior to the chin implant placement, Especially from the side profile to understand what your pre-existing anatomy was. First option would be to simply remove the implant and go back to your original anatomy, or remove the current implant and place a smaller one. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Our price. list is located on our website in the link below.

Q: What can I do to improve my skin under my chin? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. PortueseApril 24, 2024

A: Much more information is needed, such as a full set of face and neck photos in a chin neutral position from all angles, in addition to a copy of the operative report to find out specifically what was performed in your first facelift procedure. Also important to know if he had any significant weight loss history, in addition to your current age.

Q: What happens to dermal face filler during and after a facelift; should I had dissolved my filler before facelift?
Answered by Dr. PortueseApril 23, 2024

A: We see filler in the face all the time when we're doing facelift procedures, and has no bearing on the end result of a facelift procedure. You do not need to have it reversed.
