Female age 55 I had a facelift a year ago and it seems like where the drains were it fills up like w/ fluid. probably isnt fluid but Its so strange. Everyday Im massaging it and using warm cloths and it hasnt gotten any better. Ive asked my surgeon and he told me that since he couldnt see it that I should concentrate on the lift he did under my chin. Im sort of happy but this feels like Im being chocked. Ive asked another Surgeon and he didnt know what to do either.
I did not have any breakouts prior to the surgery. I am wondering if there is fluids, i.e., puss that is trying to get to get out from under the skin due to the surgery. It lasts 5-7 days and then clears up. This is the third time I am breaking out. My surgeon is treating it as acne. The pimples start as 1 or 2 bumps and within 1 day look like the picture below Not sure if I should go see a dermatologist. This is a definite result of the surgery.
Had deepplane facelift 8days ago. Was taken back to or second morning due to hematoma. Drains removed on day4. Now day8 I have this swollen ball on one side of my neck. I'm not sure if this is newly developed or always there. It's slightly bruised, tender and semi hard semi fluid like. Surgeon told me it's rare to have recur hematoma after reoperation then what is this? Seroma? I found a picture of a lady developed the same thing I have and her result is awful with ridges now I'm worried.
I had a facelift 11 days ago and have had area to my cheek that keeps filling up with bloody fluid that has been removed 3 times, each time has been about 20cc. I'm worried and need to go to work next week.
I had a facelift with coral cheek implants 3 months ago. I immediately developed malar edemas on both cheeks. They go away when I lie down sleeping but come back in the morning when i get up, no doubt due to gravity. Is this permanent or will they resolve in time? Can anyone please advise what I may do to make them go away.
Two weeks after my procedure I started having fluid leak from behind my ear down my neck whenever I ate. Surgeon said may have nicked a salivary gland during surgery. This resolved in 3 days, but for the last two weeks I have had a pocket of fluid behind my ear that gets increasingly larger whenever i eat. No pain, just pressure. Saw my surgeon again yesterday and he said he didn't want to drain it for fear of introducing bacteria. Will this heal itself or did it need to be repaired?
it will be 6 weeks since my face lift procedure. I do have swelling under the chin area and am very concerned. I started to massage the area as told by my Doc and the first night I did this I woke up with blood/fluid (small amount) coming out of my ear canal, both ears. Is this also normal? Thank you for your answer in advance.
i had an upper bleph and face lift 4 months ago - everything looks ok except for the pockets of fluid which have appeared on my upper cheekbones. i did not have this problem prior to surgery. it seemed to appear 4 weeks after surgery. my eyes sometimes feel dry. i dont smoke. will this resolve over time.
