I had an otoplasty 2 months ago. After the surgery the doctor told me to wear a headband all day during one week and then wear it for another 2 weeks only at night. After those 2 weeks my ears seems to pop out. There is almost no difference between the appearance of the top part of the ear before and after the surgery . My doctor says that the result is fine but I'm very disappointed. I would like to hear more opinions Thanks
I had my otoplasty done November 17, today is January 5th, I am wondering when I can get a haircut as my barber has to push my ear down to line it up. My surgeon put in dissolvable sutures but removed them about 3 days ago. When I asked him he said I could get it anytime but I just want to make sure that it's safe and that it won't change the appearance of my ears.
Hi, Ive done otoplasty 2 months ago and I feel like my scars are very visible. I just wanted to be sure that thats normal scarring and that itll fade soon ? I thought that I could wear my hair up a month after otoplasty but i feel like the scars are too visible from the back..
Dear Doctors, two months have passed since my otoplasty procedure, and ears have turned back a little compared to the first week after bandages were removed (I wore them two weeks 24/7), the left one especially, so they are asymmetrical now. Is this normal, and if it is, how long it will last for them to take stable position? Is there anything I cold do to correct this now? How dangerous can be if I go to the another correction?
This otoplasty performed about 7 weeks ago. I believe some the ear was bent somehow in the recovery room and was re bandaged 4 days later. I know it is still early but I can't imagine this bend is going to correct on its own. The right ear is fine. What can be done to correct this so that the ear helix looks more smooth and natural?
I ha an otoplasty 1.5 month ago and I feel my hearing is little weird. I would like to know which otoplasty suture technique is the one that can cause stenosis of the ear canal. 1) The setback sutures on the conchal cartilage? or 2) the setback sutures on the concho-mastoid ?
