Bent helix after otoplasty. Can this be corrected? (Photo)

Question

This otoplasty performed about 7 weeks ago. I believe some the ear was bent somehow in the recovery room and was re bandaged 4 days later. I know it is still early but I can't imagine this bend is going to correct on its own. The right ear is fine. What can be done to correct this so that the ear helix looks more smooth and natural?

Thank you for your pictures.  There certainly is a contour deformity to the helix.  I would allow this area to heal and soften over the next 3-6 months and then re-evaluate.

Not sure why this occurred.   At any rate discuss it with your surgeon.   This will improve with healing but likely will need some revision to be ideal.  This  correction can and should be done at a year.  My Best,  Dr C
