Post-op pain started after 24 h; visit after 72 h: no swelling, perfect healing; CT: not close to nerves, dense bone. On day 7: new CT. Excluded: infection, necrosis, neuropathy. Sutures removed. The implant does not reach the bottom of the hole but that's ok. Doctor thinks I have bone pain - I'm using max Ibuprofen, should I go through this w/ smaller amounts of Ibuprofen? Reduced Ibpf but some dull pain remains most of the time. Pain goes off sometimes or gets reflected to #1. Not sure if pain getting weaker.
I had an implant done with some bone grafting. Been taking my antibiotics and doing mouthwash everyday but I don't like the way this looks. I don't have any pain either, just want to make sure I'm healing properly.
its been 5 days Im so scared of a dry socket. Does it look normal?I dont smoke havent drank any carbonated drinks or alcoholic. It does hurt a little not bad. The stiches seem to be coming out. The string is now going over the top of the wound. I can taste it with the side of my tongue taste like a cut in my mouth it did not have that taste before but the stiches werent up before either. There is now a few little areas near the socket that are pink like fresh flesh. Is this normal?
I was unaware of the consequences associated with smoking and implants so I have smoked for the past two days. This afternoon I started experiencing a dull pain similar to heart beat in my lower left jaw where the implant was placed. My gums do not appear to be red or swollen. What is this pain and I have I ruined my chances of having a successful implant? I'm so scared of loosing my implant please help!!!
Hello, I had one implant placed 1 week ago - it is for the 2nd molar in. Although the pain has improved somewhat, I am still unable to sleep without pain medications. I am very concerned that something may be wrong (?) since this amount of pain doesn't seem normal. My dentist rechecked me a few days ago, and said he shared my xray with a colleague - he said they both agreed everything looks perfect. I know TMJ is part of my problem, but I do still have actual throbbing pain at the dental implant
I had implants installed 8 days ago..Dr now on vacation. This is causing severe pain. I am rinsing to keep clean and cannot eat all all only sip liquids. Pain will not stop. I talked to dr via phone he says keep clean and it is ok at this time. No sleep for last 6 days. Any and all thoughts helpful
