6 days post op full upper implants, severe pain in jaw and ear

Hello!There is an adjustment period after implants are placement, in which heavy lifting and exercise are not okay - for about a week. Constant throbbing, discomfort when biting, and constant aches could be a sign you need to see your dentist. When we place implants, and make your new smile, your mouth and jaw will need some time to relax and realign to your new bite. Also, during surgery, your jaw is open for quite some time, and that can cause the joints to become inflamed. You're at the early stages of healing where swelling, discomfort and soreness of jaw is to be expected.Best of luck!

You may have an infection. You should see your doctor right away to rule out infection or get antibiotics if there is an infection. There may be another cause for the pain, but it's best to follow up with your treating doctor to discuss.
