I got the co2 laser done on 19th Tuesday and it is now its Saturday the 24th. My skin had peeled off but the skin underneath looks like sandpaper. I have so many indentations on my face now, It so textured and bumpy. From what ive seen when the skin comes off it reveals soft and smooth looking skin. Im worried that it hasn't healed correctly. Im scared the doctor who did it was careless and went too deep and its now going to cause scarring from all these indents. Is this normal?
Had CO2 laser on Monday (face). On Sunday I assisted the scaliness (due to two events to attend and no peeling) with slight brushing using a dry razor, and some scaby particles came off. The minute scabs were still there just the top scaly layer got off and the areas smoothed out to apply makeup. No cuts, no bleeding, only less scabbiness. Want to know if what I did was okay and won't create any trouble in betterment of skin? Been following prescribed ointment, moisturizer and sunblock routine.
Hi Docs, today is my fifth day post CO2 laser however the treated areas are still very red and it feels a bit embossed when touched. I am on 10mg Isotretinoin, stopped taking it 3 days before the procedure. I can notice slightly reduced redness in the cheeks area but the redness in my forehead is extreme. What are my chances of getting a hypertrophic scar? What is the usual recovery time for this scenario and what can I do to reduce the redness? PS. Asian skin. Thank you!
My skin feels like rubber with a very uneven texture of ridges not to mention the strange dots on my forehead. Im using ibuprofen and Benadryl for the swelling but it has not helped at all. Today is, by far, the worst day yet. Is this normal or should I be concerned about infection? Are the dots around my chin an allergic reaction to the aquaphor, or possibly a herpes outbreak? Are the streaks, and ribbed texture normal? Also, any suggestions for a substitute for aquaphor? Thank you!
i wish i could put a photo up i had co2 laser resurfacing 5 days ago. i was told to wash my face with distelled water and a little vingar then cover face with crisco or olive oil. my face is still extremely swollen and some scabs have started to appear any help as to how i can take care of my face would be greatly appreciatred thank sincerely erin
Can I start my regular skincare regime on day 5 after CO2 fractional laser? I am finally completely peeled and just a little red with some strange acne breakouts, which I think is from the think ointment that clogged my pores. I use Estee Lauder Enlighten Moisturizer, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Complex II Serum (same for eyes) and Estee Lauder Crescent White Brightening BB cream SPF 50. This is the best products for my skin but they do contain a lot of chemicals... I am 33, white European.
I had Deka dot fractional CO2 five days ago is it normal to still have some under eye swelling? Just worried because about a year and three months ago a plastic surgeon injected some sort of filler in my tear troughs, I always thought it looked a little puffy/saggy after that. So now I am worried that this is going to exacerbate that? The swelling is getting better, but it has been five days. I also have a fever blister on my chin, treated with Acyclovir the day of treatment and onward, normal?
I've used proactiv many times before and it helps me heal faster. now I had alot of acne scars so i decided to go for the c02 laser resurfacing after the procedure my skin was crusty and bloody but my doctor told me to wash my face with vinegar and water and then apply vaseline. now that the crusting is gone i was wondering what do doctors feel about proactiv for post op co2 ?
