The left side of my face is not swollen at all, but the right side is a bit more swollen. I can feel the wing of the implant through my gums. There is a constant sharp pain just underneath my lip. If I touch it, there is a burning sensation the rushes through my chin and lip. I can feel the implant and i know it is riding a bit high but will this hinder my nerve from repairing? I don't want to get another surgery. Will this hinder sensation in my lips in the long run?10 days post, extraorally
I had a large Chin Implant placed under chin a year ago. I had steroid injections a couple of weeks later as I had burning sensations & pain on right side. The implant looks fine, and fits face great but it just feels so tight. When I make certain movement with my mouth I can feel a pulling and muscle contraction like sensations. It feels uncomfortable like its too big for my skin & sore on the right hand side. Can anyone suggest as to what the problem may be & what can be done to help?
1 Month Post - large anatomical chin implant. Bottom lip, right side, is still numb. When my PS pokes it, I can feel it, but it's not 100%. When I eat, or when I yawn really big and the lip is stretched, I get a tingling, burning sensation. I can feel the implant is a little higher on the right side, not by much, and you can't see it. Feels like the implant is a bit higher and closer to the root of my tooth. The right side is the only side that doesn't feel normal, like the left. Is this normal?
I had a chin implant around 3 weeks ago. I am still numb in my lower lip on one side and numb on the same side of the chin. I think that the lip has improved somewhat as before I was completely numb in the inside and well as the outside and now I feel it is more the outside. The chin however has no change. I feel a look of tingling and burning sensations in the chin and sometimes the lip. I feel like these sensations have been getting worse. The numbness obviously effects my smile.
I had a large chin implant (incision was external, under the chin) put in 3 weeks ago. The pain went away quickly and it looks great. The right side of the chin and my lower lip on the right side have been numb since the surgery and I am slowly gaining back feeling. However, this week I started experiencing some sharp shooting pains in that area and a burning sensation under my lip. Should I be concerned? What can I do/take to reduce the pain? Thanks, Christopher
