Chin implant problem one year on. Any advice?

I had a large Chin Implant placed under chin a year ago. I had steroid injections a couple of weeks later as I had ‘ burning’ sensations & pain on right side. The implant looks fine, and fits face great but it just feels so tight. When I make certain movement with my mouth I can feel a ‘pulling’ and muscle contraction like sensations. It feels uncomfortable like it’s too big for my skin & sore on the right hand side. Can anyone suggest as to what the problem may be & what can be done to help?

I am sorry you are having difficulties. Without photographs and an examination it is hard to give you a definitive answer. I suggest you contact your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Hi GB82,The sore, burning sensation and pain on the right side of your chin after your chin implant may be  caused be the implant impinging on the mental sensory nerve. Please see your surgeon.
