Im a year post-BL/BA. Im happy with my results except for one thing. It looks like my areola skin was kind of pulled down below the incision line. Sometimes the skin below the areola puckers up, just like the areola does. Looks similar in color and texture too. Is that areola skin pulled down, or is that a hypertrophic scar? I would prefer to fix it if possible. The incision scars Im OK with. But the puckering skin makes me self-conscious. Pictures attached.
I consented and paid for a full anchor breastlift with implant, I had two consultations with Dr who stated I needed full lift. When I woke up from surgery he only did a donut lift. I ended up dropping instantly and nipples puckered with bad scaring. 6 mo later Dr revised with a vertical incision and a change of implants to textured (I had to pay again). A year later I am still saggy and now I have developed capsular contracture my boos go to side & hard. Still no full lift .
My doctor tells me be patient it will go away and removing the sutures will cause my breast to sag. At another consult I was told that my doc might have used at larger suture that is not only visible (also through some clothing) but also very palpable and suggested having them removed stating most Docs would agree I was healed enough not to sag significantly after. Both docs are well credentialed.
I am two months after breast augmentation with perioareal mastopexy. I think the scars are healing quite well (mostly on the top side) but i dont know why i have this one wrinkle or gathered skin around left areola. It is just this one spot and it doesn't seem to be typical pucker, more likely a spot which was sewed too intensively? I am trying to massage it so it smoothers a bit that doesnt seem to help. Thank you.
My right breast was larger before the surgery but my ps was supposed to remove tissue to make them the same size and then add 250 cc implants to both sides as well as performing a lift. The outcome is actually very disturbing to me. The right is still considerably larger and still sagging. They both appear to be cone shaped and there is a lot of puckering around the areola. Are these issues that are going to correct themselves as the implant settles or is revision going to be necessary?
Is this much bruising common? Will the puckering on my nipples go away? I have feeling when I touch my nipple but the whole underside is numb and the sides are too, is that normal? I am on day 2 after my surgery very little pain. Took my first shower got to see the results of my donut lift I got 475 cc under the muscle.
Hello, I have just confirmed my breast augmentation with a circumareolar lift. I am nervous about the puckering that happens to the skin after the nipple is relocated. I'm wondering what determines if this effect will go away, how long does it typically take to go away? Will my breast still appear natural in that area? Does having this lift change the ability to breastfeed? Oh yeah, I will be almost 24 (by surgery date), 5'9 weighing 170 lbs, if this helps. Thank you so much for your feedback!
