TT surgery over 2 mos ago. Would the TT surgery cause something un-detected to appear? Why do I have brain fog and anxiety all the time now? About 12 days after surgery I starting getting nauseous and dizzy. 20 days after surgery I ended up in the ER due to fatigue and dehydration. EKG, xrays, CT with dye, blood work etc were done. All normal. Im still dizzy and nauseated and cant focus. I have no motivation to do anything. Why would this start after my TT.?
I am 3 weeks post abdominoplasty with lipo surgery. Twice I had dizziness, nauseous, excessive sweating, and fainted while changing my dressings and gauze on my legs where I have the drains. The right drain was removed day 15 from the day of my surgery. Why am I having these symptoms? At first, I thought it was lack of eating. But now I am eating 3 meals a day and drinking 128 oz of water.
In November of 2016 I was dx'd with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and I am on 12.5 mg of metoprolol to slow my heart rate. I get dizzy often and my heart races still but I want the Tummy Tuck. I'm down to an 18 from 24 hoping to lose more of course but it seems that my belly pulls giving me pain in my back and lower abdomen. I also have fibroids so that could also be the abdomen issue.
I am two weeks post tummy tuck. Every time I take my compression garment off to check the drains and do a skin check, I get nauseous and have a horrible cold sweats. Could this be due to a drop in blood pressure? Are there other factors to be considered? If it is due to blood pressure, what happens when I stop wearing the garment? I have to return to work next week and I'm starting to get concerned. Also, this came into my drain today Should I be worried? Thank you
My head feels funny like am in a fog. Am taking oxcycodone n ibuprofen. I feel dizzy n light headed. Lost apperire. A little upset stomach. The pain is bearable on a case of 1 to 10.10 being real bad am abt a 3. I called my Surgeon he says to increase my fluids. My head feels spacey. I just hate this feeling. Like am gonna pass out or die. Which has I creased my anxiety. Is this normal.
I am 8 days post op and have been extremely nauseous and dizzy since surgery which presists all day. I have been off narcotics since day 3. I did call my surgeons office and spoke with the nurse and she assured me that this is normal because of the narcotics, anesthesia and my small frame may feel these effects for a longer period of time. She suggested taking gravol. I thought that any side effects from medicatiom would be out of my system by now. Is this normal?
I am 3 weeks 2 days post TT and still experiencing dizziness/foginess. When I stand or sit it feels as if my body is swirling and a couple of times I have lost my balance. Also, my vision seems to get blurry occasionally (I do wear glasses full time). Spoke with PS regarding dizziness and he did not have a clear response to me regarding the possible cause of the dizziness. Is this normal after 3 weeks out? Should I consult a neurosurgeon? Becoming quite concerned because I don't feel like me.
My question is: will tumescent anesthesia be strong enough to reach my muscle area so that I won't feel pain during the muscle plication part of the surgery? I hear that's the most painful aspect of it. How much pain should I expect to feel using this method of anesthesia? Also, will I feel dizziness similar to being drunk? I've had alcohol poisoning before and I'm afraid that the IV sedation will be like that (that awful anxiety/nausea/head spinning feeling).
I had surgery 15 days ago. Two nights latter, at home, while I went to the bathroom I started feeling dizzy. I sat and blacked out. My girlfriend said I rolled my eyes, cringed my teeth and peed myself. About 8 minutes later I came back. I'm not feeling any sequela. Doctor said it was a simple faint due to a drop in my pressure, but a doctor friend of mine told me fainting doesn't loose your sphincter. I have a neuro scheduled to Monday but am concerned. What was that? BTW, I'm in Brazil. UPDATE: Two doctors friends of mine were suspecting cerebral embolism. The neurosurgeon said it was a convulsion, probably due to a latent cerebral dysrhythmia (since I've never had it and none of my previous exams showed any sign of it) triggered by the stress caused by the surgery. He asked for exams to confirm, which I'm still to do. The plastic surgeon is still insisting on “just a drop of pressure” SECOND UPDATE: I have gone through an MRI and a EEG both of which came back normal. There was no signal of embolism or any brain damage. I went back to the first neurosurgeon and this time he said I could have had just a drop in my pressure OR an dysrhythmia episode (in which case we would have to wait and observe for another attack in order to confirm). I remember he said at my first consult with him that rolling my eyes and cringing my teeth were clear signals of convulsion. This time he said it was not, and that it might have been just the pressure thing. So I've decided to see another neurosurgeon. This one completely disregarded the others suspicions and said everything pointed out to a suddenly drop in pressure due to the surgery stress and the fact of me having stood up very quickly. He also said that I was out for so long because I blacked out while sitting which prevented me from falling and having my head lowered to my heart level. So, what do I do? The pressure drop diagnostics seems credible? He assured me it was just this, but I'm still a little bit concerned. BTW: It has been more than a month now since this “attack” and I've not felt anything strange since.
