I had a laser treatment 2 weeks ago for spider veins on my legs. I understand that multiple treatments are needed to be fully affective, however, are my legs currently on the right track? I am continuing post care for my legs, compression stockings, etc. but feel discouraged with the appearance of the veins. Spider veins look great when legs have been elevated for a good period of time, but as soon as I stand, the blood rushes back through them. Thank you in advance for any and all comnents.
After EVLT of large & small SV & ultrasound guided sclerotherapy of other refluxing veins, I got a full session of foam sclerotherapy for mostly reticular & some spider veins. 2.5 weeks later both of my thighs are covered in blue and purple patches as well as new tiny blue spider veins. Those are not bruised areas. Went back to PA and they drained some of the treated veins. This has not helped with the appearance though. Using compression stockings. What is causing the discoloration and what can I do about it?
I had sclerotherapy done about two weeks ago and only felt some mild discomfort for the first two days. Now two weeks later my legs are quite achy at times. Also while some parts of the treated veins are clear, others are still pretty green:I thought it could be that the blood stopped circulating through them due to sclero (hence the darker green) but when i wake up in the morning the veins arent visible which means blood has to be circulating through the veins, right?
I'm 2 weeks post EVLT procedure. I'm having slight discomfort in area of knot, especially to touch. I still have discoloration where the vein was treated. Is this normal or cause for concern? If normal when will it go away? I'm finding contradicting info on after care following an EVLT online. I was told to wear my compression stockings for 2 days and avoid extreme heat for 2 weeks. When can I go in the sun? How long should compression Stocking be worn? I have a beach trip planned in 2 weeks.
Board certified vascular surgeon did the sclero using Asclera. He also did Venefit on same leg. My spider vein looks worse at my 1 week check up. He told me to see him in 3 weeks. Should i see someone else? It looks worse than before the sclero!
I had sclerotherapy exactly 2 weeks ago on a small varicose vein behind my knee. I followed doctors orders exactly afterward, but my vein is still dark and when I touch it, it's bumpy in parts. My doctor said it would only take one treatment. Will it improve? Is this the end result? When will I see final results? Why is it still dark and bumpy?
