I had sclerotherapy treatment 2 weeks ago. I was wondering how soon you can manually exfoliate and use AHA based lotions to the area (Amlactin, etc)? Thanks in advance!

Answer: Sclerotherapy Thank you for your question. Once the injection area has healed you can exfoliate and use AHA based lotions. Typically, this takes up to 5 days however it’s best to consult your provider. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.

Answer: Sclerotherapy for Spider or Thread Veins Sclerotherapy causes inflammation of the treated veins and the surrounding skin. I advise my patients to use a good hydrating skin lotion. It is very important to avoid sun for 1 month.
