How soon can I exfoliate after sclerotherapy?

You should be able to exfoliate with Amlactin as soon as you are healed from the actual injection sites.  The treated veins will heal over two wks but you should be able to resume Amlactin within a 3-5 days of your treatment.  Best of luck! 

Thank you for your question in regards to sclerotherapy. As long as the injection site is healed, exfoliation shouldn't be a problem. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Amlactin is a moisturizer and you can use it almost immediately after sclerotherapy. I recommend topicals containing ammonium lactate and hydroquinone or a non hydroquinone based formula to relieve hyperpigmentation and improve the cosmetic outcome after sclerotherapy.
