I had sclerotherapy done 2 weeks ago today. My doctor used Polidocanol and it looks to me that are bigger. Does it look like they are not responding? I tried pushing on the veins to looked for "blushing" but i can't tell.
Answer: Sclerotherapy Thank you for your question in regards to sclerotherapy. Veins tend to appear worse after sclerotherapy treatments and can take up to 8-10 weeks to achieve results, along with needing additional treatments. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Sclerotherapy response. It is difficult to tell from the posted pictures if you have had a response to sclerotherapy. The veins do appear darker but the pictures are not that good. I wait 6 weeks between sclerotherapy treatments. Treated veins look worse before tey start to look better. It appears that some of the veins need to be evacuated. Follow up with your treating physician.
