I am Asian male, with thick skin, very low nasal bridge, I have consulted with several rhinoplasty surgeons, all of them recommend rib harvest to augment my nose, but some recommend using the Diced cartilage fascia (DCF) technique and some recommend using a Solid piece of rib, my goal is to have a higher and natural nose bridge, doesn't have to be too high but defined. What's the different between the two techniques and why? Thank you.
Most of the Rhinoplasty before and after photos involve people with a bump on their nose bridge or with noses that are too tall. I'm Asian and my nose bridge is low and short and my actualy nose is wide and round. Most people's nostrils can be seen from the side, but mine can't. They show up in front, making it look pig-like. I haven't seen any before and after photos of people' with noses like mine, so I don't know if it can be fixed.
I had rhinoplasty done 3 weeks ago to fix my big nose and low bridge. He placed a really big medpor graft on my bridge and now my eyes look very different. Will it stay like this forever or will my eyes go back to normal? Thank you!!!
I have a very low nose bridge, despite it, my entire face seems balanced enough to where most people think I'm cute. Still, my low bridge is such an overriding feature and it destroys my confidence. I can only imagine how much better Id look with a normal bridge. I attempted a bit of editing and found a desired ideal. But I was wondering if this might be stretching it, since my nose is so short already. Is this achievable with surgery? Can it go higher? Cost estimate? Thank you very much!
I got rhinoplasty 3 months ago now. However, I am not satisfied with the result. My nose doesn't look straight at all: my nose tip is appears too big and my nose bridge is too low. Also I do have two dents, one on each side of my nose. What is this and how can this be solved? My surgeon says it will all get better as the fat tissue under the nose skin will come back, but I don't really believe him. Thank you
I see many before & after photos of nose surgeries where the hump is reduced but the nose remains high-bridged (first photo). I have a straight, high-bridged nose and really like the type of noses that their starting point stands below the supraorbital ridge (second photo). Is the shaving of the nasal bone at its starting point possible so that a low-bridged nose can be achieved? Or does it have to do with the anatomy of each face? Thank you.
I am a male, 8 months post-op, who had a rhino+septoplasty. My surgeon and I discussed having a slightly concave dorsum, but instead it was extremely scooped, right down the dorsum, AND scooped around my radix. I now have a small, short nose and no nose bridge. What are my options to fix the large scoop and the low radix? I'm not sure how much septal cartilage I have left. Could ear or rib cartilage be used to sufficiently augment an overly concave dorsum and low radix? Thank you for your time.
My nose bridge sits below eye level, and it gives the appearance of a hooked nose. I've attached a photo below - on the left is how I currently look, and on the right is an edited picture showing what I would like to achieve. As you will see, with a higher bridge my nose looks much straighter. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks in advance.
