VI Peel: Can I use a moisturizer?

Hi. The anti itch cream that comes with the Vi Peel is also a moisturizer, however, if you feel that you are still dry then you can use a light coat of Aquaphor at night for more intense hydration. The better you hydrate your skin the less noticeable the peeling will be and the safer the peel is. I hope this answers your questions and best of luck with your healing! 

Hi, thank you for your question! We recommend following the steps of the VI peel kit that you are sent home with. After that you can use your daily moisturizer while you are peeling. We always recommend moisturizing until the dryness is gone. Aquaphor can be used in areas that are more dry during the healing process.

That is great your peeling has started! You should be using the products that are included with your VI Peel and any other products that are recommended by your skin care professional. The products included is a post procedure cream and and a sunscreen.

The sun screen and anti itch cream that is used with the Vi peel are moisturizers.  You can apply them as needed.  If you feel that you need additional moisturizer you can use elta laser balm or aquaphor. You should wait until the skin is completely healed before applying your usual skin care products.  If you have any further  concerns contact your provider for additional instructions.

anti itch and sunscreen are also moisturizers, You should reapply the anti itch cream as needed, when you feel your skin becoming dry. After 5-7 days you should be able to go back to your normal skin care products, be sure you follow your provider recommendations
