Hello and thank you for your question.The VI Peel is not normally a uncomfortable peel. There are some patients that may be more sensitive and may feel a bit more discomfort. The peeling usually starts by day 2. It is best to follow your providers instructions as to when they are recommending the length of time you leave the peel on the skin before washing. I normally recommend leaving the peel on overnight.Best to you,
