Hi, I had tummy tuck last year with permanent stitches to close my 2cm wide diastasis recti and absorbable stitches around belly button and incision line. Now according to both ultrasound and ct scan, I have two granuloma sutures (scar tissue) above my belly button. Theyre hurting me if exercise. My PS said she used permanent sutures to close the muscle four stitches above and three stitches below belly button. Is it okay to remove all permanent stitches without replacing?
Hi, I had abdominoplasty and breast augmentation last November by board certified plastic surgeon, then I had breast implants removed by en bloc procedure after 8 months of having them. Now that I am three months out of en bloc. I gave my bloodwork, and it turned out that I have high platelet count than I had normal count last May before breast surgery. I contacted my breast plastic surgeon he said contact your primary care doctor. Whats your thoughts on this that caused high platelet count?
Hi. Im 2 years post op tummy tuck with muscle repair. About 6 months after I developed a hard nodule under my skin. I saw a general surgeon and he said its a suture granuloma and the suture needs to come out. I also contacted my plastic surgeon and he said if the general surgeon removes the suture my muscle repair would be compromised. I dont want that to happen because I spent $36k on my plastics after weight loss. Is my plastic surgeon wrong?
I had a tummy tuck about 7 months ago and there is a problem with my navel. I keep getting green clear discharge so the doctor gave me antibiotics but it never cleared. As i have had this procedure done abroad i need to find a doctor local in London otherwise have to fly back out. My surgeon reckons it could be a stitch inside which needs a navel revision. He reckons i may have a granuloma from the stitch. Doctor also took swab and came back clear so no infection. What can this be ?
Had my TT in Agu 17 but by Jan all the swelling was gone and still had flabby skin and belly button was slightly to the left. My PS said that bec my umbilical hernia was so bad he had trouble with the belly button. I got a second TT to fix the bb and rest of skin, but now: 1. My bb hasnt healed and my dr says its normal but Im starting to worry 2 yesterday I saw a bump in lower abs. It doesnt hurt, move. Is it a granuloma? My PS Is away n texted me to wear the post-op girdle, will this help?
I have a granuloma which it started oozing through a small little hole and on day 2 after I started squeezing out the fluid ,which was only like clear fluid with just a bit of blood. I cleaned it but then I noticed that there was something else like part of my meat with the whitish looking thing coming out . I tried cleaning it But then I got scared. I contacted my surgeon he said just clean it out but then I told him what I seen then he just responded to go to the ER!
Finally healed up from tissue been compromised, except I have a hard knot around incision scar. I saw ps & he said is agranuloma that needs to be surgically removed My concern is I might have a hard tI'm to heal like I did before. Is there an alternative treatment to my condition?! Thanks for your time & attention to my concern..
I had a TT 8 years ago w/muscle repair. 2 years after, a small lump developed next to my belly button. It has steadily grown & very painful. In addition the lump has caused my belly button to close & it is now oozing. Ultrasound & Mri ruled out any hernia. PS said its a Suture Granuloma and the suture would have to be surgically removed. I have 2 concerns, If it is repaired with permanent sutures will this happen again? if dissolvable sutures are used will the repaired muscle seperate?
My surgeon called them lots of things Lipomas Grauloma suture scar tissue I have had 4 big ones removed and still very many Im 6 months post we have massaged aggressively for 6 months. It wasnt until I had sent many emails before he started to reply and my revision he said would be painful I was awake for lumps removed and awake for flank revision numbed it but he went out of the areas he marked. I was numbed well when he removed the bigger lumps. I dont go back for another month for more shots
