Finally healed up from tissue been compromised, except I have a hard knot around incision scar. I saw ps & he said is agranuloma that needs to be surgically removed My concern is I might have a hard tI'm to heal like I did before. Is there an alternative treatment to my condition?! Thanks for your time & attention to my concern..
Answer: GRANULOMA If your healing on the tummy tuck scar was delayed from an wound infection or dehiscence, then there will be more scar tissue on that area, and usually looks red or purple for few months and it feels hard as wood for also few months. The scar tissue formation is still on the healing phase and takes around 6 months for the scar tissue to get soft again. The best alternative is to be patient and wait few months, at least 3, and see how the tissue starts getting softer. Also ask your surgeon if he thinks some lymphatic drainage massage or ultrasound over the area may help you.

Answer: Too early to judge outcome. Looks fine. At this point in your recovery, it is much too soon to be worried about the outcome. It takes time for the swelling to resolve. It may be 6 months or more before the shape has reached its final look. Be patient. Watch your physical activity. Everyone is different.

Answer: Tummy tuck granuloma healing I'll take the leap of faith that this area hasn't had any drainage or been an open wound for many weeks so your surgeon and you don't have to worry about any active infection. If that is true than you should have no major fear about a small procedure to excise the firm spot and close the area. Just the fact that you had your tummy tuck made those tissues go through a process called the "delay phenomenon" which increases the local blood supply over the weeks following the procedure so it's ability to heal is more robust now than the days right after your circumferential tummy tuck. When you both are ready go ahead, good luck.

Answer: Granuloma While it is difficult to make the dx on your photo, granuloma removal is an office procedure with minimal pain or downtime. You are almost there!
