I am 3 weeks postop from SMAS mini lift (no neck lift). Sutured: inside of tragus/vertically on scalp above ears/along hairline behind ears. The skin under my chin, right above my larynx is VERY tight LOOKING. I look like Im wearing a party hat with an elastic string! My face is not tight. I know it will loosen a bit with time, but I feel as if I need a good 1/2 of skin to resolve this. Im very embarrassed as I look fake. I cannot find any info on this issue, scared.
Hi. I am three weeks post SMAS and Corset Platysmaplasty. My neck is .extremely tight and it is difficult for me to hold my head straight without becoming fatigued or my neck and shoulders hurting...backward head tilting is particularly difficult. I am having muscle spasms that are tensing the muscles beneath the chin and neck. Would it be helpful to take a muscle relaxer for a couple of days in hopes of breaking the cycle if one exists? Thanks so much!
My surgeon has said it can take between six mo thd to 18 months to heal. Im concerned this is my face I havent left the house and its affectung my life I. A big way. I want to go see a facial nerve specialist is it to early if so when is the right time
My post-op instructions: clean incisions w/ soap & water. Sutures out day 7. Incisions behind ears and in front of one ear still stuck in the scabbed. Id like to put petroleum jelly or antibiotic cream on them, to help the scabs fall off. No signs of infection but Im short haired & at 3 weeks post-op, scabs are a dead giveaway. What is the thinking on post-op incision care? Are scabs on scars at 3 weeks normal? Harm to put ointment on them?
I had my surgery on July 23 and today is 22.5 post op I am also looking for a post op plastic surgeon anywhere from San Jose to San Francisco to do this for me. Surgery was don in Taipei , Taiwan. Doctor told me the grey skin is caused by excessive stretching of my thick skin to get the same result of non Asian people.
Dear Doctors, 3 weeks after smas facelift, this is how my ear looks now. I feel its doesn't look normal. I believe its shows clear sign of the facelift. If there is any option to fix it? Thank you.
SMAS facelift 21 days ago. Lower jaw is very immobile, stays open when I sleep, difficult making certain sounds (f, b, p), trouble keeping food (dry) from coming out sides of mouth. If I press forward at the jawline near my ear, it relaxes the tension enough that speaking is a little easier. Will this get better? Also, feels like a very tight chin strap wrapped around my jaw that is hard to relax, kind of aches.
