Question

7mths post op primary rhinoplasty to correct old fractures & a deviated septum, narrow nasal bridge, remove a dorsal hump & reduce the tip. Immediately I noticed that my nasal bridge appeared wider, not narrower, and there were two lumps of bone on each side of the top of the nasal bridge. 5-6m post op= dent, shadow, squishy sides of nose, skin loose. Options? Am nervous about 2nd surgery. Surgeon offered revision with goretex. What can be done immediately?

Like Most surgeons, I do not like placing silicone in the dorsum of caucasians, especially those with thin skin because there is an unacceptably high extrusion rate. The first choice of cartilage would probably be your septum. The second would be your ear cartilage if the septal cartilage is no longer present or is to brittle.
