Hello, Im researching free tissue (fat graft) transfer (or vascularized fat graft transfer) to the nose for volume to the nasal skin (not fat by injection or micro cannula) but grafting in the free tissue fat by implanting. Is there anyone who uses this technique who can please explain it a bit (how long does it take to transfer fat to the nose, can it be done under local anesthesia, how much fat is typically used, etc.) Any points that would help! Thank you!
Cortisone was injected near the root of the nose after rhinoplasty which caused an inward dent which was then filed down on the revision. This is hurting/irritating the nose since it's just in the spot were the glasses rest. It's now been 2 years after my revision rhinoplasty. What is the best option to fill this out, fat transfer? Rib? My surgeon have tried filler once but didn't help and i'm thinking filler might migrate since constant pressure is applied on this area from glasses.
I had a surgical rhinoplasty 20 years ago and now I am noticing some asymmetry that I'd like to correct (and maybe lower a bit the tip to see less of the columella/nostrils (frontal view). I am not interested in temporary results. The 2 permanent fillers I have made research on (Bellafil, Silikon-1000) are too controversial and I would not have them injected in my face. Is fat grafting for revised rhinoplasty an option?
I had septorhinoplasty with turbinate reduction in 2009 and would like to get revision rhinoplasty but do not want to do anything invasive. Ive tried fillers twice and they barely work. Will fat grafts help the v-line deformity, Wall collapse and saddle bridge? If not, can a closed approach work with the most minimal work? Would like to build nose back up, not make smaller.
I got unlucky septo/rhinoplasty a year ago, in which my upper nasal walls collapsed inwards. My surgeon performed emergency revision at 6 mo and outfractured the bones with slight overcorrection. Its been now 5 months since the revision. The other side is set nicely and straight, whereas the other one remains a bit sunken and nose looks twisted, up the bridge, just below the radix. What are my options? Outfracture the sunken side again? Cartilage craft? Fat graft? Under general/local?
Hello, I currently have an infected silicone implant for my nasal bridge. I will be getting it removed in 2 days. My PS has indicated that he may be able to replace my implant with a fat graft depending on the severity of infection. My question is 1) is it safe to replace low-grade infected silicone within same operation, 2) pros and cons of fat graft? I would really like to avoid additional revisions in the future. What are the complications of a fat transfer? Is it relatively safe? Thank you.
I had a revision rhinoplasty about 3 months back.Fat graft was performed to align the deviated septum.I am not happy with the fat graft as it makes my nose big and bulbous.I have few queries concerning this- 1.Can the fat graft be removed? 2.If yes.How long do I have to wait? 3.Any risks involved?
I am past the 1 year mark post op & increasingly upset over results. My surgeon is suggesting to wait an additional 6 months then assess options - one of them being a fat graft to smooth the area? Which he warned might make it bulbous again! I was also met with the idea that Michael Jacksons mistake was going in for revisions & that I don't want to be in the same position?? I'm so scared. And increasingly self conscious, this does not look natural! Was this poor work or chance healing?
Hi, Doc, Does Dermafat Graft treatment to improve nose (To rectify flat nose bridge & droopy nasal tip) gives permanent result for the lifetime?. Post-operation of 1 or 2 months, Can I do Gym freely without any restrictions? One last is when can I resume my office work? , post dermal fat graft operation. How's about the Autologous fat area quality post-extraction.
