Glasses are hurting my nose 2 years after rhinoplasty, options? (Photo)

It is a tough issue. Believe it or not I have the same issue after my rhinoplasty, although it is not as bad as yours. I have to wear heavy glasses called (loupes) for surgery and that hurts and leaves a dent after a long facelift surgery. I use a small round bandaid on the nose. I also changed the nose pads on the glasses to very soft silicone. On Amazon they have large soft nasal pads as well. You can go to an optician for more choices. I also had my nurse inject some restylane into the nasal depression area. It was ok but not great. I am trying to figure out a way to increase the collagen growth in this area. For now no bright ideas but I might try something and can let you know down the road. One thing is for sure, do not get steroid injections in the area where the eyeglasses sit. Steroids will thin out the skin even more.

Based on your limited photo, it appears that you are getting redness where your glasses sit. Sometimes, this is an easy fix by your optometrist who might be able to adjust the current glasses that you have for a more comfortable fit. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
