Hello, approx 6 months ago I had a 3rd Ptosis repair surgery completed by an oculoplastic surgeon. The first two attempts failed but had very slight improvement with no change to the shape of my eye. This one however failed after the one week mark and has continued to devolve into now a worse asymmetry with my left eye shape being completely different and smaller than my right and ptosis still there. I'm asking to find out what caused this and what can be done. Thank you!
Now ptosis or eyelid retraction. My Problem was that my left Eye was too open. Except for when I was very tired / sleepy than it was looking like a ptosis. I had surgery on my lower eyelids cause I had visible scleral show. They used the transconjunctival technique for that. After that my eyes looked a little better but my left eye was still open at the upper lid. So in October 2021 I got surgery to fix my left upper eyelid. Now Im not quite sure if my right eye is now too big or my left eye is now droopy. (Or swollen)
I had a car accident 3 years ago which resulted in some trauma in my forehead and eye area (scars also). In november 2018 i had a ptosis surgery with my surgeon that fixed me after the accident.I feel like it hasnt healed correctly and my eye now has excessive crease. Went to my surgeon and he said it needed time and maybe another surgery (really hesitant), went to another doctor and he said its not fixable. I wanna know your opinions and if there is a way to make my crease back normal?
I had ptosis surgery on my left eyelid and now it is so much worse then before! I'm so insecure now I can't go out or let anyone see my face. I seen the surgeon and she said now it can't be fixed. What do you think?
6 months post op-Eyelid looks completely uneven and not symmetrical...ended up with making my one eye look big and one eye small and also same with eyelid ...is it there any way can fix these eyes and also actually I would like to know where and how my eyelid surgeon go wrong while performing the surgery of my eyelid ???
My right eyelid is oddly shaped. It was re-operated on two months after surgery because of scar issue retracted the eyelash line into a peak. But now I have a peak in the eyelid. It is very tight o the eyelid and sticks to my eyeball all day causing pain. Dr. put plugs in saying that dry eye is the problem. There is no improvement. The original surgery was oddly sewn from the beginning and I questioned Dr. about it. Dr. claims I have an almost perfect result. I do not agree. What can I do?
I had internal approach ptosis surgery 6 months ago on my right eyelid. The eyelid height is now ok when I wake up in the morning. 2-3 hours into the day the lid begins to droop a bit, but more importantly the eyelid crease goes higher. This leaves me with asymmetrical eyelids that look hallow on the left and a crease that is higher on the left for the majority of the day. I had this same problem to a greater degree before surgery. Is there anything that could fix this, possibly an ant approach?
I had the surgery last December on my left lid and if I'm honest don't see much difference in the ptosis, and I actually seem to have developed a new problem. I have a extra ridge under my eyebrow and in my eyelid. It's irritating and looks like a slight deformity now. The surgery was going to be on the muscle but the surgeon on the day said it would be better for me to have the eyelid stitched instead to get a better result. However it doesn't seem to have worked and I have another problem!
