Hi. I've got a recorrection on my left eyelid ptosis. However Im only 8 days post op. I dont see any improvements. My eye is still droopy. Should I worry? Stitches are still in it but 3 years ago I saw a difference, now I dont. Also the first operation the blue bruises were vond after 3-4 days now it's still a bit blue under my eyebrow.
I expeiernced extreme sweeling post surgery day 6. I am worried that because of the asymmetrical swelling it makes my eyes look strange. My right eye is wide open and my left eye which was extremely swollen is no near as open as the right. It had been five weeks since my surgery. So can ptosis surgery be reversed? Is there a time frame it has to be reversed by? Or if not will revisional surgery be successful to get my eyes to at least closely match in size.
I had my second ptosis surgery 8 days ago - my first surgery made no difference to the eye and it dropped again, this surgery the eyelid has been stitched much tighter by my surgeon and has resulted in an over correction. The surgeon mentioned at the time it was better to over correct as he believed the lid would relax and drop. I'm very concerned as the eye looks awful and is hung up when I look down.
I had ptosis surgery on my right eye 5 days ago. I am happy with the healing. My only concern is about the possibility of Hering law affecting my other eye. I did the phenylephrine test and it didn't unmask a latent ptosis. My right eye (the ptotic one) used to be really dry before surgery so I used eye drops. While the left eye doesn't seem to be dropping, now it feels quite dry compared to the other. I was wondering why this is happening and if my left eye could still in the future Thank you
