I am 7 days post op on bilateral ptosis surgery. Much of the swelling has gone down but there's only a slight improvement in my right eye. I know it will come up a little more in coming weeks, but does it look like a revision will be needed?

Answer: Give it a little more time I see that you had the surgery through the skin. Wait at least a month to evaluate the results of your surgery. If it is still a little low, it can be fine tuned with a simple office procedure from behind the eyelid, without needing another skin incision. Looks good so far. Good luck.

Answer: No way to predict revision at 7 days As your swelling resolves, the lid level will change. Whether it will require revision is impossible to predict at 7 days post-op. Revisions should not be done before 6 months unless there is a large over- or under-correction. If revision is necessary, it is generally an easier process than the initial surgery and often may be done in an office setting. Best wishes.
