I have been looking to get laser mole removal due to a few small, dark colored moles on my face. However I am concerned about the risks of scarring after laser treatment. I have heard the pico lasers are better but am still concerned about scarring and if I had either hypo/hyperpigmentation is there anything I could do (topical) to treat if I scarred after laser? I am a teenage female and don't want to look worse after. I am also asian so I know scarring is more common.
im curious about what the best laser to go with would be to get it removed? also how high are the chances of scarring and whatnot. theres 2 shops near me— one uses a Picosure laser, and another uses an Astanza Duality laser. my tattoo has black, red, orange, and green on it, so im not sure which one would be the best choice. im not really interested in a coverup, i want it totally gone.
July 2018 went to a doctor who used the tattoo setting on some scarring I had on my back. Told me it would blister then scab n fall off, with some slight HYPOpigmentation, it did exactly that but its darker than before I started. I went for the 2nd laser treatment with a more gentle setting but no real difference afterwards. Im also doing glycoic peels 2x a month, with Kojic acid a few x a week. Im at my wits end and feel hopeless. Should I contact the doctor for a refund? What can I do?
The clinic admitted their mistake. They had the setting as if I had multiple treatments done already. I left in unbearable pain, and 1 week later my skin is burned red still, blisters and very painful still. I had other treatments before on other tattoos and it was nothing like this. They had the settings as if all treatments had been done on this tattoo and they weren't. What are complications to having settings far too high and it is also a very large tattoo (half my back).
I'm considering Picosure laser treatment for my face to help heal superficial scarring/scratches and redness caused by a Dermapen treatment. I can't afford to have anything else go wrong with my face and want to know if the heat could potentially melt fat like the nightmare experiences some have had with Thermage, Ultherapy and even Fractional laser. Thank you.
A few years ago, I decided I wanted to have a tattoo removed and went to tattoo removal consultation with a well-respected doctor in my city. He advised against the removal since the tattoo was against the chest bone and he felt confident it would cause scarring. Thinking lasers may have advanced in the last few years, I contacted another doctor who said he was confident that he could remove my tattoo and didn't seem concerned at all. His laser is the Cynosure Picosure laser. Thoughts?
Do you apply the R20 technique when using the Picosure laser (can you discuss scarring potential and whether or not R20 technique with Picosure is necessary)? Is it safe to do more than one pass of the Picosure until you get the reaction you want to see? Also, what kind of reaction are you looking for to decide whether or not to increase the energy while using the Picosure?
Hello, I had one session of Picosure laser done on my lower body (buttocks area) to remove stubborn post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I was told I would only be mildly red for a few hours, and that the settings were safe for my olive skin tone (Fitzpatrick 4). However, it looks like my skin has been damaged after a week and a half. Is this normal healing, or could it be permanent damage or lead to hypopigmentation?
