I have a minor depression in the preauricular area on only one side of my face. 1.5cc of sculptra was injected into that area. The injector told me I need to come back 2 more times and inject 1.5cc each time. Is that amount the norm? Is it too much or too little? Also, I get bumps and scars when I get sutured. I read that sculptra is made of suture material. Does that mean I will get granulomas and nodules?
I had two rounds of Sculptra this year. In each Session one vial was used in the cheekbone, jawline and nasolabial area. After the first round I barely Saw a difference. Now Im 10 weeks post the second treatment and my face looks distorted. I cant smile because my face is too heavy and I look puffy. Could this still be edema or is it overfill. My injector unfortunately isnt helpful but rather defensive. She says there is nothing she can do for me and that this is probably the end result.
I am a 30 yr old female and received 5 vials of Sculptra over a 3 month period. I feel that I now have overcorrected results which have changed my face shape/smile. What are my options with overproduction of collagen from Sculptra treatments? Will phototherapy for Scleroderma help? Is there anything that will help lessen the volume? Thank you
Hi I am female mid 50s with just a touch of laxity in face and neck, would like to try sculptra but spent a long time struggling with overfullness from facial fat transfer. I have asked the practitioner to do one vial at a time so we can proceed really slowly but her advice is that it wont do anything that way. Does going lightly like this actually prevent the process working properly in the long run or just slow it down (which is my goal)? Many thanks!
Im a 64-year-old woman, 510, 115 lbs, with a naturally slim face. In the past I had good results with filler, and a provider recommended Sculptra as a longer-term option. Over the course of 12 months, I had 3 sessions (2 vials each time total of 6 vials), all placed in the lower face/jawline only. No product was used in my cheeks, temples, or upper face. I was told that treating the lower face would help lift the whole face and cheeks. I dont look better. Ive since read that Sculptra is typically placed in the upper and mid-face first, and sessions are usually spaced closer together. Is lower face only over 12 months ever considered appropriate? Im just trying to understand whether this approach aligns with standard protocol. Id appreciate any insight.
Hi, I always had early aging due to probably estrogen issues that I didnt realize until I got diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35. Since then I have been on estrogen blockers for the past three years, which have caused my face to look very very old. I do Botox for the crows feet and forehead, and I spend a lot of money on peptides retinol and all the vitamin C stuff. I have a lot of melasma out that I didnt have and I have vertical lip lines as you can see with creepy skin. Im feeling very depressed about this as Ive been told that theres not much I can do And Im only 38.
Ive now had 2 bbls the most recent being a revision. Im 8 weeks post op, starting to have the same concerns as my first round. Flat spots, no real volume or just overall roundness and fullness. Im also concerned with my back rolls & stomach. Stomach isnt flat and pokes. Ive spent over 20k and still not satisfied. Its disappointing when I see girls that have spent much less w perfect results. Would a 3rd round be helpful, different MD of course.
Im 52 y/o and have some loss of fullness in my face and beginning of slight sagging around my mouth. Its subtle but i noticed it the past 2 years. Im bot ready for a facelift but may want one in 5-7 years. Ive read some scary posts on reddit about lumps or the face getting too full and scar tissue. Can someone give some insight on how well the procedure works on skin tightening and loss of volume in the face. Also what are the potential issues if i have rosacea and hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) which is under control? Does the procedure complicate a future facelift. Id be having it done by my dermatologist whos been doing it for several years.
