Bumps can occur with Sculptra regardless of combining with threads. That's why it's important to pick your provider carefully. When done well, Sculptra gives a very nice, soft augmentation without bumps, but is temporary. With regards to threads, any result gotten will not last past 3 to 4 months, and this short time frame has nothing to do with the threads dissolving, which takes about a year or so. It has to do with the fact that your tissues will not stay in the position the threads pull them. We learned this 20 years ago when threads were first promoted and were actually permanent. So, once again, pick your provider carefully. If they conflate thread longevity with results, i.e. about a year or so, they are either not being honest or they are not experienced.
Before anything else, I have a question for you. Why do you need smooth threads? They provide you with almost nothing in return. Simply have your lack of volume corrected with the use of sculptra. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.

Hi, thank you for your question! The temporary Bell's Palsy is caused by the lidocaine that is added to the vial of sculptra to make it more comfortable for patients. The lidocaine should wear off with in an hour or two after your appointment. I would recommend reaching out to your injector...
