I have always had small Montgomery glands on my nipples since puberty, but I got more of them and they got much bigger after birthing and breastfeeding 3 babies. I quit nursing my last baby over a year ago, at a year old. Breast cancer runs in my family. Should these cause concern? Is there a way to fix them?
Hello, i have very big montgomery tubercles, i tried a cream with hydroquinone but it seems to not be working very much. For me it's really a shame show up my nipples. I dont know if i can solve with surgery or not. What possibility will I have?
I am concerned about the scarring and whether the scars will look as unsightly as the glands? Also how will the scars look 4 weeks post surgery? I have very pale areola so worry that the scars may be even more visible? I cannot find any images on the internet for me to see of post excision of Montgomery glands.
Hey, Im a 25-year-old guy, and Im suffering from bumps on my nipples for many years. It can be squeezed and a sebum comes out of it. How can I get rid of it? Are they Montgomery glands? Can they be lasered off? Thank you!
My Aerolas are covered in Montgomery glands. I know they are completely normal but having so many makes them unsightly. I would love to have some of the more noticeable ones removed if possible. Would this be something a dermatologist could do or a plastic surgeon? Also could this be a procedure that could be done while awake with just some numbing injections. I'm having a hard time finding answers or pricing info. They bother me so much because it looks like acne.
I have been trying to find a way to eliminate the Montgomery glands on my areolas. They look like zits and have been there for years. I have read about a procedure called sebaceous gland ablation which kills the gland with no scarring. It is a procedure that is similar to laser hair removal. I can only find information on it in the UK and Australia and they have been doing it since at least 2012. Does anyone do anything like that here in the US? Thank you!
I have read all available information online regarding Montgomery Glands and their "normalcy". All I know with certainty is that they make my otherwise attractive breasts highly unattractive. If this issue makes me self conscious enough not to want even my husband see this part of me, what are my medical options?
