I had a deep plane neck and facelift 6 mos. ago. I am 51 and had significant neck laxity due to weight loss. The turkey neck was removed, but Ive been left with hollowing and sagging on each side. I posted previously, but some of my pictures were omitted. Im reposting with additional photos of the issue. My surgeon wants to do Forma and CoolPeel which Im reluctant to do. I was told by another surgeon that revision surgery would be too risky because I had deep plane. How can this be fixed?
Im 66 years old, 1 year post op, I had midline platysmaplasty. At 3 months, (all pictures attached) I went back asking if we could do a revision. They suggested fraxel lasers and to come back for year consult. I have done 3 of the laser treatments, and went back for year end consultation. Surgeon said nothing more he can do, possibly revision in the future but not now.
67 year old male. 18 months ago I had a neck lift by double,board-certified specialist facial surgeon. Incisions under chin, and in front of a behind each ear. Initial results look good but fiveweeks postop noticed lumps appearing under the chin that would not go away with lymphatic massage or cupping. This past, February, one year after her original surgery surgeon, went back in and reopened the incision under the chin, and tried to remove those lumps. This was unsuccessful as they reappeared.
Had a deep plane neck lift/lipo in 2020 (age 34). Now (age 38) it appears the sutured platysma muscles have split in 2. Original surgeon suggested an in-office procedure to cut into the existing chin scar, & remove some of the platysma muscle (myotomy). And maybe make a 2nd incision to re-suturing the splitting muscles. I wanted to get some other opinions on ways to correct this. Does this sound reasonable? Or should I be looking into a full on neck revision?
I had facial surgery about 5 years ago that included jaw contouring and a neck lift. My face was really swollen and the neck lift didnt really help. I have a lot of excess jaw skin when my head in a neutral position that Id like tightened. Im wondering if a revision neck lift would be the right approach to bring out the contour of my jawline.
9mo ago had a deep plane NL. 32, not overweight, always had double chin even as a child w little body fat. Underwent revision w same PS, incisions behind ears only this time. He used stronger sutures. At 3 days post op looked great both times. Almost immediately after it drops. PS offered a 3rd revision w even stronger sutures, ears & chin incisions. States area feels tight so not skin but muscle dropping/sutures not holding. same issue. Could it be a gland issue?
I have had many laser treatments along with other procedures like Kybella and Morpheus 8 to reduce volume under my chin and to tighten the lax skin. After menopause, the elastin in my skin has gone downhill. I finally elected to have a lower facelift and neck lift with chin lipo to resolve the dangly loose skin under my chin. One year later the skin looks puckered or pleated. It's worse in the morning and only looks less prominent if I moisturize. Why does it look like this and what can I do?
